The Museum of World Culture is ready to welcome you back. We've made a few changes to ensure you can safely enjoy your visit, and we ask you to help us. Read more about our guidelines here.

PRECAUTIONS TAKEN BY THE MUSEUM

DISTANCE BETWEEN VISITORS

Based on recommendations from the public health agency we're limiting the number of people in our facilities to ensure there's room for you to safely enjoy your visit. We ask visitors to keep a distance of 2 meters to others. There are signs in the museum showing maximum number of visitors per area and markings reminding us to keep distance. Please follow the directions on site and from museum staff. Face mask and visor are available for purchase if you want to wear them.

CHANGES IN ACTIVITIES

During the current situation we have made some changes. For example we don´t offer audio guides right now. All our programmes are digital. There are activities, indoors and outdoors, you can do by yourself at the museum. There are touch pens you can use on touch screens for sale in the museum shop for 29 kronor.

SCHOOL PROGRAMMES

Currently we only offer digital school programmes.

SCHOOL AND PRE-SCHOOL GROUPS

Due to current restrictions it's not possible for school classes or other groups to visit the museum.

CASH FREE MUSEUM

We do not accept cash payment at our museums. You can pay by card or Swish.

EXTRA CLEANING MEASURES

We have introduced extra cleaning measures on exposed areas that are often touched (door handles , faucet, soap dispensers) to be cleaned more frequently.

VISITOR GUIDELINES

STAY AT HOME IF YOU FEEL UNWELL

If you are symptom free you are welcome to visit us. If you feel unwell we ask you to stay at home until you feel better again.

DISTANCING

We ask you to show consideration to other visitors and staff by keeping a safe distance of 2 meters.

HAND WASH

Wash your hands regularly. Use sanitizer if water and soap isn't available. Hand sanitizer stations can be found in the museums.

TRAVEL SAFELY

We ask you to travel safely to the museums and follow the regions local recommendations about travel with public transport.

RISK GROUPS

If you belong to a risk group we encourage you to use our digital/online content instead of visiting us on site.

FOLLOW RECOMMENDATIONS AND DIRECTIVES

We encourage all our visitors to follow the recommendations of the public health agency and government directives to minimize the spread of covid-19.

LIBRARY, COLLECTIONS, ARCHIVE

Visits to the museums archives, library, photo- and collections storages are only possible by pre-booking and there will be a limited numbers of visitors at each time.

Pre-booking of material should be done when booking your visit.

Based on recommendations from the public health agency we make sure numbers of visitors won't exceed recommended amount.
