Our interaction with space is a nuanced choreography, a dance of existence. How we move within it reflects not only our physical presence but also our emotional and cultural background. Words, too, leave their imprint on our bodies, shaping our experiences and perceptions. The artist will take you on a journey through painting to reflect on your identity. Ward will lead a workshop about the intersectionality between our bodies and “home”. What is home for you? What is it like to move and leave home behind you? What if this home is your body? How do you live through the experience of changing home and perhaps gender identity too?

This workshop is designed to delve into the intricate relationship between the body, personal experiences, and identity, particularly focusing on gender and body stereotypes. Through various artistic mediums, participants will explore their connections to their body / home and the impact of cultural and linguistic influences in our environment. In this workshop, the participant will get the chance to experience a safe space of authentic self-expression, encouraging them to break free from stereotypes and embrace their unique identities.

Organised in the framework of West Pride 2024. This workshop is organised thanks to the support of the Anna Lindh Foundation network in Sweden.
