Now it's free to drop into the museum and see our exhibitions. Come and see programs, have a cup of tea, meet, or surf the Web wirelessly.
With over five new exhibitions, a hundred programs, 600 school programs and 250 conference events in a year, the museum reaches a young, wide audience. Why do we need to make the visit admissionless?
- We want to be a place that everyone can feel that they own. We know it will be easier for many more to come when it's free. Spontaneous meeting-places do not occur if people have to pay to parttake, says museum director Margareta Alin.
Major touring exhibitions with admission-fee
The museum has no permanent exhibitions, but opens around five new exhibitions per year, all of which are now free to visit. The museum will now establish itself as a tour-stop for large international exhibitions. For these, visitors will have to pay admission.
Free programs
Live concerts, spoken-word, Community Nights, seminars - in the museum's great stairs you can experience multiple programs without paying admission. Welcome!
